We had a Marvelous time. But, I am taking today off as a post vacation relaxation day. Of course, I am doing lots of things.
Spouse got 15 life birds, bringing his list up to 607, or something like that.
I got to see a friend of 30 years ago. That is always wonderful.
Unfortunately, I screwed up my picture downloading and lost a day of filming...I have no pictures of the beautiful Sabino Canyon. Alas, I am trying to be philosophical about it. I still have 1000 pictures from the trip.
We made it in for the fireworks in Nashville. We parked ourselves on the Woodland Street Bridge over the Cumberland River. It was a marvelous view. Then it began to pour down buckets of rain. They continued the fireworks & it was wonderful. We were soaked to the bone by the time we got back to the car. But, I felt terrific. We got home before midnight on the 4th.---everything and everyone was alive & well.
We picked the pups up from the Hiett Hound Hotel (The kennel owners are named Hiett). on Sunday & Ruby was delighted to see me. Yeah! I missed her bunches. Caesar was delighted to see Ruby...he sort of has a one track mind. He was with her the whole time & yet she is still his center of attention. Caesar had words with the owner. But, she said that she told him what for & they were fine after that. He is 100 pound dog. He needs to be told what for.
Life is still good at Welpenwald...although, it is rather cluttered at the moment.
